FAQ's

What to expect on my first visit?

During the initial consultation we will discuss why are seeking treatment, look at your postural, assess ranges of movements and make a treatment plan for the session which should take 5-10 minutes.

The treatment will then follow and take the next 30-35 minutes, reassessing of ranges of movement at the end.

For the final 5-10 minutes we will make a treatment plan, give suggestions specific for you to help with strengthening and or stretching exercises as well as reflecting on any lifestyle changes that may help too.

What to wear?

Depending on which massage you choose will depend on what to wear.

Most massages require you to remove your outer layer clothes. Once you have changed behind a screen, you will then be covered with a towel on the massage table, only have the part exposed that is being treated.

It is advised to wear some sports shorts and for females a sports bra which unfastens at the back.

As part of the initial consultation, I think it is important to do a postural assessment to see if there are any physical indicators that will help identify areas to treat. Generally, people feel more comfortable wearing shorts and a sports bra but if you prefer, loose clothing can be kept on.
